Middle school can be a tough time for finding, and trusting, good girlfriends.  I founded The Athenian Society as a place where middle school girls could come and express themselves freely, learn some great mindfulness techniques, and discover friendships with other amazing young ladies.

We have grown these past three years, and now get together off campus for activities like ice cream nights, fall fireside parties, and holiday events. We also had our first annual overnight Sisterhood Retreat! We stayed two nights at an amazing local vacation home and made Tshirts, cooked dinners, stuffed bags for a local charity, and stayed up all night watching movies and talking. We can't wait to do it again next summer!

 

The Athenian Society can be offered at any Orange County Public School as an after-school club.
